- Description
This lovely harvest festival by popular composer Sheila Wilson (Hosanna Rock, Scrooge…) is a ready-made harvest festival for KS1 & 2 teachers who hit the autumn term running … just add kids!
The songs are catchy and fun, and include ‘The Vitamin Song’, ‘It’s good to make hay!’ and ‘This song is a little bit CORNy!’, complete with hand-jives and kazoo parts; while the wordbook has brief easy narration, a poem, some harvest facts, and full permission to add in your own readings should you want to.
For an optional prayer, song 4 is a great new arrangement of The Lord’s Prayer … suitable for use in assemblies all year round. There are the obligatory corny jokes, which your kids can add to as well as bring their harvest gifts or collections to school to learn about the importance of sharing.
Finally, the songs can be downloaded from iTunes or purchased on CD from Redhead Music direct, and of course there are some funky backing tracks too!
